Most Europe government announce for larger event restart in summer, we have engaged partners and clients’ discussion to prepare for the post-COVID design & build best practice.

Since then we’ve been extremely grateful by the responses, with many clients international tourism promotional organisation in particular express the dialogue is helpful too in making their exhibition/event booking decision too.

We would like to share our finding and research here.

When trade shows reopen their doors, it won’t be business as usual. Going forward everyone must address safety concerns and take full and appropriate precautions to protect exhibitors, visitors, contractors, and the support staff who work in the halls building and supplying stands.

  • Exhibitors will need convincing that although attendances will be smaller, exhibiting remains vital. They too, will have concerns surrounding staff safety.
  • Visitors need sufficient confidence to attend the event safe in the knowledge that full precautions are being observed.
  • Organizers must be able to register visitors and have the administrative capabilities to make them aware of problems pre and post event on top of the challenges of international travel that effectively complicates travel and work plans.

How can exhibitor be better informed in making their attending decision and planning their business and consumer trade events?  To be better informed, we want to share our research from UK with document "All Secure Standard" approved by Department of Culture, Media and Sport (DCMS). Full copy of All Secure Standard download here.

In our views, the following mitigations would have particular impact to Exhibitor’s commercial return. Should you decide to exhibit, we strongly recommend implementing an event solution that can maintain your visitor’s engagement level.

  • Crowd Density Standard: at a capacity allowing for compliance with social distancing of 2m, or 1m with mitigation (approximately equivalent to a density of 10㎡per person)
  • Controlled entry: staggering admission to ensure socially distanced arrival
  • Travel bans: Contingency personnel local replacement plan in case of travel bans that preventing your co-exhibitors or other on-stand event staff's attendance.
